Personal Statement
Having ambition has always been important to me, so naturally when deciding on a career path I would take it was nothing less than ambitious. I am studying veterinary science, in hopes of getting into veterinary school and attending the one at the University of Arizona. I want to be a large animal veterinarian that can help the people in my community keep their animals healthy and happy.
The only way to achieve these goals is to attend a four year university and then follow that with veterinarian school, which at the university of arizona is a three year program. It is important that I succeed and do well in school in order to accomplish this, because it is extremely difficult to get into veterinary school. Although once I am in, I will be learning valuable information that will ultimately help me achieve my end goal in saving animals’ lives. This has been something I have been passionate about since I was a child. In college I am learning just how important my studies are, this is because they teach me how to be determined and diligent. Which are valuable skills in the workforce no matter who you are. This scholarship would be really helpful in my endeavours to get into veterinary school, because I have to pay for it myself, along with college, so any money I get would be really helpful.
Veterinary school is not easy by any means, yet through everything I have learned from my school experience so far, I know that it is important to just keep working no matter what. Even if it takes reapplying to the vet school, it is important that I stay determined and keep trying
which are valuable lessons that I have learned from school so far. The only way I will ever get to help the animals in my community is if I stay determined and keep up with school and maintain a good work ethic. With the knowledge I learn from graduate school I will be able to accomplish my long term goals of saving an animal who really needs help.
